Chuck Cass was an IPPA member, friend and photojournalist for Sun Publications and The Naperville Sun. He passed away on Nov. 12, 2005 after a three-year battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The IPPA founded the Chuck Cass Memorial Scholarship in his name in 2006 and each year, winners of the Illlinois Student Best of Photojournalism competition receive scholarships with the money raised.
