Updated iSBOP form available
There has been a small change in the Illinois Student Best of Photography contest form which should not effect student entires already finished. The new form can be downloaded here.
The change is in the membership/contest fees. Student IPPA membership is now $10 (originally $20). Contest entry is an additional $10 (originally free for student members). This change was made to reduce the cost for out of state students who want to attend the conference in St. Louis but are ineligible to enter the contest because they attend a school outside of Illinois and are not an Illinois native.
That is all.

Photo Night - Feb. 6
The Illinois Press Photographer Association invites all members and friends to a Photo Night event at Jason Brown’s home at 2619 N. Troy St., Unit E, in Chicago. The event will take place at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday Feb. 6 and food will be provided.
Come meet the IPPA board candidates and network with other local photographers as we approach this year’s conference and iBOP, iSBOP and iBOM competitions. The evening will also include a discussion of possible updated iSBOP rules and a speaker who is yet to be announced.
IPPA members are also encouraged to bring photos for possible contest submissions for discussion. The entire evening will be broadcasted online with live chat interaction for anyone watching from home. We hope this experience will be a good testing ground for our planned webcasting of the iBOP judging and speaker presentations at the upcoming conference.
