Photo Night - Speakers
Tomorrow’s Photo Night is BYOB and even BYOChair if you have one. Jason Brown, our host, is expecting more like 35 -40 people and doesn’t have enough seats for everyone. If you have a folding chair or two, it would be great if you could bring it along. Once again, Jason’s place is at 2619 N. Troy St., Unit E, in Chicago
We have also confirmed out speakers for the night:
We really want to thank them for taking the time to come and show some of their work and talk about their experiences in their respective market.
After the festivities are over the party doesn’t have to end. There many new cool places near Jason’s place if people want to continue to socialize. Revolution Brewing on Milwaukee, and Longman & Eagle on Kedzie.
Doors open at 7 P.M. tomorrow (Sat Feb 6), the show starts at 8:30 P.M.

Wedding Photo Night 19 April
Do you photograph weddings? Whether it’s a few or a bunch, come to the Illinois Press Photographers Association’s wedding photo night Sunday April 19th.
Photojournalism-style wedding photography is very popular, and many of our fellow photojournalists have shared their talents with brides and grooms. Bring in your stories, share your ideas, save others from pitfalls, tell tales of the dark side (business/accounting/etc) and teach about new techniques or approaches. Steve Warmowski / WarmowskiPhotography.com will give a report of the Associated Professional Photographers of Illinois convention in Decatur he attended.
Let’s all improve our skills together! We’ll provide snacks. You just need to bring in some of your best pictures from the last year to share with the crowd.
The day starts at 2 p.m., and is hosted by Joel Lerner and Karen Kring at their home, 4953 W. Oakton Street, #304 in Skokie. Events will be held in the building’s common room. RSVP to joel@joellerner.com.
