Reorganization meeting
The Illinois Press Photographers Association invites its members to attend a reorganization meeting at the end of June. The meeting will start at 5 p.m. Sunday June the 28th.
We will discuss the future of the IPPA, and try to get some new leadership lined up to take over. Current President Scott Strazzante, Vice President Mark Black and Secretary-Treasurer Steve Warmowski have been officers in the IPPA for more than a decade. The crew are still interested in helping, but seek to pass on the responsibilities of planning conferences and the like. Besides, it’ll be good to get new blood to lead the organization through uncertain times in the field of print journalism.
Joel Lerner and Karen Kring have a location for us to meet. Come to 4953 W. Oakton Street, (unit #304) in Skokie. We’ll be in the building’s common room on the top floor. Ring up to their place and they’ll buzz you in.
