Comments-Strong category overall. Our first place pick may seem an odd choice given it wasn’t maybe the peak news moment, but we were impressed that the photog stuck around to get it. The overall composition caught all our eyes right away. We thought it sad that soldier funerals have become common enough that you have to find a really standout angle.

Comments-Again, strong category with an immediate unanimous pick of the old man cutting trees as first place, There were some great moments as well as images with a very strong graphic design, particularly the hotel construction. Although ultimately it did not place, we give bonus points to TJ Salsman for the computer shot. How many of those do we get sent to only to come away with something as boring as it sounds.

Comments-Excellent Peak Action high school basketball and many really good moments.3rd place had tech issues that prevented it from going higher. Very good stuff overall.

comments-Another good category with strong place winners. Each photg gained good access to their subjects and made the most of it. 1st place was particularly concise and yet had a nice variety of images despite being all in one place.
